For this school project made for DWM. We had to choose a typeface and create a website about it for introducing the type and showing his particularity, to give envy to use it to other designers
I chose Libre Franklin because it is simple and clean. It was inspired by a American typographer of the 20th century.
I was very interested by the intepretation I could make of it
I have always thought that photography and web design were both things which went really well together. Since the typeface is called « libre(free)» I decided to make it my theme.

In tribute to the typographer and to give a little retro touch to this page I took some retro photographs of America of 20th century and I put them on backgrounds with some opacity. This is my wink to the retro side of this type.
I searched for good quality photos (thanks Unsplash) taken in America and which could symbolize for me the freedom. I wanted to give to my work a taste of liberty and travel to my project
To add my touch to this project I created some little pictograms about adventure and liberty.
I think that it is this kind of small details that give life to a design.
